Rail travel continues to be sabotaged.

My train now leaves an hour earlier, but arrives at the same time, and the new sleeping cars are terrible. No seats. No tables. No outlets. Just bunks. I guess my frequent rail travel days are over. As I’m probably not the only regular customer they will lose by on longer providing seats, tables and outlets, how can this be even remotely financially rational for the partially privatised german rail operator? Rail travel is being systematically sabotaged to push air travel. Why? Because airports provide more control over travellers than train stations. Rail travel is more free. Capitalism is not about rational markets, it is about control and extraction. Welcome aboard.
